Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of high school after her parents split up to move in Los Angeles to live with her mother. Though she struggled financially and in the beginning, she made her acting debut acting as Rachel's Room's main character. In 2002, she was awarded an Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal of Murder In Greenwich of a 15-year young Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to win. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. She was the main role for two seasons, and was awarded an award for her performance, a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace, who had worked alongside Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, decided to make the move into the world of film. The actress was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) were her reprises of role. Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost, including the finale. She was in 2013 for Season 6 of Californication. The character she plays is Faith, who is the muse and fan of the stars. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. She is part of Gyllenhaal's family and is the elder sibling of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began in the teen years with minor roles in several of his films. She also appeared alongside her brother in the famous cult classic Donnie Darko (2001). The year 2002 saw her starred as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The actress also starred in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her lead performances in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama), and Sherrybaby (606) and Sherrybaby (606) of which earned her Golden Globe Award nods. The Dark Knight, which came out in 2008 following several highly successful films including World Trade Center (2006) which brought her greater recognition, was a huge success for Gyllenhaal. In recognition of her role as the single mom in Crazy Heart (2009) she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years she appeared in comedy and dramas: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. The other roles she played were an agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013), a Secret Service agent in the action thriller White House Down (2013) a musician in the film Frank (2014) as well as The title role in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal started her career as a director, screenwriter and script writer, when she directed and wrote The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama. The Lost Daughter.
